We love aviation for
more than airplanes.

A letter from Aiden.
WHY I STARTED DEAR AVIATOR
I started Dear Aviator because I wanted to create something that could bring the aviation community together. I thought about my journey throughout getting my license and remembered the amazing parts of aviation—the flights in Hawaii over the water at sunset and sunrise, being on the ramp when the sun is nice, seeing all types of aircraft landing, and making friends along the way.
Dear Aviator is inspired by all of these beautiful moments in aviation.
WHAT AVIATION MEANS TO ME
The excitement of your first solo, seeing a whale breach while flying over the Pacific Ocean, and eventually passing checkrides—that’s what aviation means to me.
You, the aviator, put your sweat and tears into aviation, and the outcome will always be worth it. Flying has given me a new purpose in life: to always enjoy the journey and not glamorize the ending.
That’s the feeling Dear Aviator is portraying.

WHAT I WANT DEAR AVIATOR TO BECOME
Aviation should feel cozy, calm, and relaxing—not stressful or full of negative vibes. That’s what Dear Aviator should bring to you.
It’s for the student pilot about to embark on this journey, for the pilot who just passed their checkride, for the mom or dad watching someone they love chase this dream, and for everyone who holds aviation dear to them.
More than anything, I want this to become a community of aviators that has the vibe of a lively café.
